RARE Vintage (1936-37) Fiesta Light Green Cake Plate Very Good Used Condition
SOLD $1,700.00 Sold: Nov 9, 2024 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
This is a very rare light green cake plate in the Fiesta pattern made by Homer Laughlin from late 1936 to early 1937. This piece had a production run of less than six months. I don't believe it was mentioned in the Fiesta brochure. I think the only piece retired before this item was the mixing bowl lids. The piece is distinguished by the flat surface and multiple rings on the backside. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs that I can find. There are a couple of black spots in the glaze as shown in the photos. The glaze is uneven as shown in the photos. The plate is about 10 1/2 inches across the top and about 5/8th inches tall to the rim. This piece is out of my personal collection. The piece will be shipped insured and require a signature from the new owner. I'm in the process of downsizing my collecting and inventory from vintage/antique booths that I had in the Midwestern states over the years. As I open a box the contents will be listed. I have not seen some the items of over 10 years. I will only accept best offers on multiple purchases. Check back often, you never know what I may grab onto next list. Please review the photos, they are part of the description. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I'm in the process of downsizing my years of collecting. I'll be listing several items in the next couple of weeks that need new homes. Thank you for looking and check out my other items!I do combine ship for a discount as long as it can be done safely. I package all items in recycled peanuts and bubble wrap. All items are well protected. I will be responsible to file all breakage claims and paperwork. The buyer will provide the receipt photos of the damage, box, and shipping label on notification of breakage. Save all items (Including packing material, box, and items broken and unbroken) you may be required to present them during the filing the claim with the post office. I will notify you when the process is complete so that you can dispose of the unwanted items and packing material. Please do not pay until I have invoiced you (unless the item is free shipping). The shipping calculator makes mistakes that will overcharge you sometimes. International customers: I use the eBay international shipping option. I can't adjust the shipping from what you see on your end. The entire process is controlled by eBay (except my sending the piece the the shipping facility). The buyer will need to contact eBay with any concerns with the item or shipping. Satisfaction is number 1. If there is a problem please contact me to work it out. As you can tell by my feedback I do not misrepresent items intentionally. However, I am human and do make mistakes. I will make good on my errors. Payment is expected in 7 days after auction ends, unless other arrangements have been made. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
Note: This item has been sold and is no longer available. This page serves as a historical price reference for Fiestaware collectors and appraisers.
